My First Year As A Writer…

Dec 7, 2019

Spoiler alert: It didn’t turn out how I expected.

What began as a mad dream to write my first book ever (and maybe get it edited it before 2020) very quickly turned into a full scale indie-operation. Maybe I should make up a name for the insanity that has been 2019? Operation-Indie? No? Well, I tried 😉

Anyway, exhaustion aside, this has been one incredible year. The best thing about it? I surprised the heck out of myself! And I mean that in the best way possible. In one year I managed to write two full sized novels and a novella (click here to get the novella free). And all the while, like a woman possessed, I’ve been reading up on what it takes to succeed in the indie-author world. My conclusion? So long as I want this badly enough, I have what it takes.

There’s something to be said for pushing oneself (though not too hard) until you realize that your dreams can become reality. Wow, that sounds so cliche. But, if the shoe fits…

Here’s to 2020, and shocking my own socks off yet again.
